Grand Central Subway Incident: Two Stabbed, Suspect Detained

Two men were stabbed Wednesday morning aboard a packed subway train as it approached Grand Central Terminal during the height of rush hour. The incident occurred just before 7:30 a.m. on the southbound 5 train along the Lexington Avenue line.

The violence began with a verbal altercation between the suspect and a 32-year-old man, which quickly escalated. Both the 32-year-old and 28-year-old man were stabbed and later transported to Bellevue Hospital, where they were reported in stable condition.

30-year-old Gavin Ferguson was arrested and charged with attempted murder and assault with a weapon.
