JAMAICA ESTATES, Queens –An early morning fire tore through a home in Queens on Sunday, leaving three people dead and several others injured. The blaze erupted shortly after 1:30 a.m. at a residence on Chevy Chase Street, located between Cambridge Road and Henley Road in the Jamaica Estates area.
When FDNY crews arrived, flames were already pouring from the first-floor windows, rapidly spreading to the second floor and attic. Three individuals were pronounced dead at the scene. One person remains in critical condition, while four others sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Four firefighters were also injured while working to contain the fire.
